Green Hydrogen (gH2) in Spain

Enel Viento is actively exploring opportunities to contribute to a sustainable energy future by developing green hydrogen production facilities in Spain. We are currently evaluating various options for joining promising projects, including potential developments in Extremadura and the region of Puerto Real, Cadiz.

While these projects are in the early stages of development, our goal is to be a pioneer in the green hydrogen sector. We believe that green hydrogen (gH2) has the potential to play a crucial role in decarbonizing various sectors, and we are committed to exploring innovative and environmentally responsible solutions to produce and distribute this clean energy source.

We envision offering our customers flexible gH2 distribution methods, such as blending into the natural gas grid, truck delivery for off-site applications, and on-site fueling stations. By gaining valuable experience through these early projects, we aim to pave the way for larger-scale green hydrogen production and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable energy landscape in Spain.
